Freedom to Change: Morocco

A No Matter What Leadership Adventure

Freedom to Change:
Morocco

Nine days in Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert. One decision that changes how you lead for good.

June 9–17, 2027 · Marrakech to the Sahara · Limited availability

The invitation

The mountain doesn't care who you were.

You've done the programs. Read the books. Sat through the trainings. Some of it helped. For a while. Then things went back to the way they were.

If you're honest, you already know: the problem isn't that you don't know enough. It's not your skills. Not your habits. Not even your mindset.

You're still leading from the person who got you here. And that person isn't the one who can take you where you're going next.

So the answer isn't more information. It's a different experience — one that gets you out of your normal world, confronts who you've been, and gives you the room to decide, No Matter What, who's next.

This isn't a trip. It's a threshold.

And it isn't nine days in Morocco. It's a four-month container — the Atlas Mountains are the middle of it, not the whole of it. Most programs give you a week away and hope it sticks. We built something else: work you do before you ever leave home, a crossing that puts you somewhere the old identity can't follow, and an integration process so what you confront out there doesn't quietly fade back into what's comfortable in here.

The promise

You can't think your way into change.

Sometimes you have to experience it. This is not a vacation. It's designed to put you in conditions you can't control — and give you the space to see what happens when you stop trying to.

You'll climb the highest mountain in North Africa. You'll cross the Sahara. You'll spend time in silence. You'll have conversations you normally don't have. Alongside a small group of leaders asking the same question:

What does the next version of my life require from me?

When you physically prove that you can do something hard, your mind has new evidence. What your body proves, your mind can't unlearn. That's where real change begins.

You'll stand on the highest point in North Africa. Nothing metaphorical about it: you set the goal, you did the work, you're standing on it. That feeling doesn't stay on the mountain.

How the change happens

The experience does the work.

This journey isn't built around sitting in a room listening to someone talk.

01

Leave your normal world

Step away from your routines, responsibilities, distractions, and the version of yourself everyone already knows. Morocco gives you space to see things differently.

02

Test yourself

Climb real mountains. Cross real desert. You don't get to fake your way through a 4,167-meter summit. What you discover out there comes home with you.

03

Tell the truth

Through guided conversations and reflection, you'll look honestly at what you're avoiding, what you want, and what needs to change.

04

Make a commitment

You won't leave with a list of things you should do. You'll leave knowing what you are going to do.

05

Bring it home

The work doesn't end when the plane lands. Structure before, during, and after turns Morocco into how you actually live and lead.

Outcomes

What actually changes?

This isn't about feeling inspired for a few days. It's about coming home different.

You make the hard decision

The conversation, move, change, or commitment you've been putting off gets harder to avoid — and easier to act on.

You show up differently

More clarity. More presence. More courage. Your team feels the difference before you ever explain it.

You stop avoiding what matters

You deal with the things you've been telling yourself you'll get to “later.”

You see more possibility

You stop assuming that the way things have always been is the way they have to be.

You trust yourself more

Not because someone told you to be resilient. Because you tested yourself, and you know you can handle hard things.

Who it's for

This is for you if you've ever said…

  • “I should be happier than this.”You've built something real. From the outside it looks like enough. Inside, it isn't.
  • “I already know what I need to do.”And you still haven't done it. Knowing was never the missing piece.
  • “I'll deal with that later.”The conversation, the change, the decision. Later keeps arriving and leaving without you.
  • “I'm the one everyone leans on.”You hold it together for everyone else. Nobody asks what you're carrying.
  • “There has to be more than this.”You'd choose growth over comfort — for yourself, and for the people counting on you.

The journey

9 days. Mountains, then desert.

Met at the airport, settle into the riad, then a stroll through the Medina. Welcome dinner tonight.

Where you’ll stay

Riad Kheirredine

An intimate 11-room riad in the heart of Marrakech, close to Jemaa el-Fna yet sheltered from the energy of the Medina. Traditional Moroccan craftsmanship, quiet courtyards, and attentive hospitality make it a place to arrive, exhale, and settle into the experience.

Every room has its own character, pairing hand-finished Moroccan detail with modern comfort. The rooftop opens to views across the Medina toward the Atlas Mountains—the terrain waiting ahead.

Sterling Hawkins is an author, investor, entrepreneur, and keynote speaker who is globally recognized as a thought leader in personal and organizational growth. Founder of the No Matter What Movement, he shows people how to achieve the performance, results and fulfillment they want regardless of obstacles.

Sterling developed his methodology to learn from the painful collapse of his multibillion dollar startup involvement. He's since combined his business background, research, study and practice to come back and launch, invest in and grow more than 100 companies. He's taken that experience to work with C-level teams and leaders and speak on stages around the world. He's been featured in magazines like Forbes, Fast Company, The New York Times and Inc.

He believes that there is no growth without discomfort — and it requires courage, commitment, community and the cultivation of trust to move through the uncomfortable and uncertain and into breakthrough results. To inspire people to unlock their own inherent potential, he shares key practices that help us push beyond our perceived limits to make a difference for our companies, communities and families. When he's not at home in Colorado, he may be out skydiving, swimming with sharks or adventuring with the No Matter What Movement.

Haviland Hawkins is an entrepreneur, strategist, and keynote collaborator who co-leads the No Matter What Movement alongside her brother, Sterling. Together, they design and lead immersive leadership retreats and adventures around the world — from the mountains of Peru to cultural immersions in Africa — each crafted to challenge limits, spark transformation, and inspire breakthrough results.

With a background in marketing strategy, operations, and transformational leadership, Haviland has worked with Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs, and global organizations to drive both personal and organizational growth. Her expertise lies in translating bold ideas into actionable outcomes, ensuring that the No Matter What methodology extends beyond the keynote stage into lasting change for individuals, teams and companies.

She believes growth requires courage, commitment, and community. Through her work, she creates spaces where people can confront discomfort, unlock their potential, and discover what they're truly capable of. Whether uniting executives across cultural barriers, supporting leaders in breaking free of limiting beliefs, or guiding participants step by step on the Inca Trail, Haviland blends clarity, compassion and challenge to deliver breakthrough results.

When she's not home in Colorado, you'll find her alongside Sterling, leading No Matter What adventures and retreats or exploring new frontiers that continue to push her own edges.
